Founded in 2021, Childaware Foundation Ltd is a registered child-focused non-profit organization committed to uplifting underprivileged children, widows, orphans, girls, and persons living with disabilities. It began in a small rented house providing shelter, care, and education to vulnerable children without discrimination, embodying compassion and equality from the start.
Formally registered on 21st March 2024, the Foundation has since expanded its impact through free tuition programs, children’s clubs, and community awareness campaigns on children’s rights and welfare. It also conducts HIV/AIDS sensitization among rural communities, particularly supporting widows and families affected by the epidemic.
Guided by Catholic values of love, dignity, and inclusion, Childaware Foundation operates a children’s home that currently shelters 30 children, offering them education, nourishment, and life skills. The organization envisions building a fully established children’s home and primary school to provide lasting hope and opportunity for Uganda’s most vulnerable children.
